She sat behind him today.
Cross-legged Indian style on the floor.

She leans forward in the pretence of reading her book, hidden within her lap.
Now surely, she thinks, he wouldn't suspect now.
Would he?

She closes her eyes.
She draws in a breath.
And tries to remember his scent.

It reminds her of grass and peppermint, and the warm sunshine.
